Course Description
This course provides an updated review of leading edge, multi-modality imaging of breast cancer, from recognized world leaders in advanced breast cancer imaging. This conference is intended for Radiologists, Surgeons, Pathologists, Technologists, Sonographers and other professionals with special interest in breast cancer. This course provides opportunities for a lot of interaction with the experts.
At The Conclusion, The Participant Will Be Able To:
- Identify the mammographic, MR and Ultrasound findings of invasive and in situ breast cancer.
- Discuss the changing roles of imaging for high-risk patients, MR-guided biopsy and staging of breast cancer.
- Describe the advantages of a multi-modality, intra-disciplinary approach to breast cancer.
- Evaluate MR-CAD, BSGI, Whole-body MR and Positron Emission Mammography (PEM).
- Better understand the hereditary component of breast cancer.

Join Dr. Bruce Porter and colleagues for an intensive week-long workshop on advanced breast imaging at our facility First Hill Diagnostic Imaging in Seattle, Washington.
This workshop begins with a review of the fundamentals, clinical and technical principles of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of breast cancer. This highly-interactive workshop integrates lectures, extensive clinical case review, hands-on training with MR-Biopsy and independent review of teaching file cases on CAD workstations. Collegial interaction and evening social functions are considered essential to the learning process as well!
Certificate of Proficiency: Attendees who complete a minimum of 100 cases will be awarded a certificate of proficiency stating that they meet the maintenance of competence case requirement as specified in the ACR Practice Guidelines for the Performance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the Breast.
